Making Freight Management a Breeze 🚛
When I started working with Cargoflix, I dove into a world I didn’t know much about—freight management. Honestly, I had no idea how many moving parts (literally and figuratively!) were involved in getting shipments from point A to point B. But as I got to know the logistics managers and drivers who used the platform daily, one thing became clear: they were overwhelmed.
Cargoflix’s platform had great features, but navigating it felt like finding your way through a maze with no map. My mission? To turn that maze into a straight, well-lit highway.
What I Did:
Spent hours talking to users to hear their frustrations and better understand how they worked. Their stories became the foundation of every design decision I made.
Simplified shipment tracking and route optimization, turning cluttered screens into intuitive, clean designs that helped users focus on what mattered most.
Prototyped a mobile-friendly interface, knowing that drivers needed tools that worked just as well on the road as in an office.
Tested and tweaked designs obsessively, fueled by user feedback and lots of coffee.
What Happened Next:
After the redesign, the platform didn’t just look better—it worked better. Logistics managers could navigate tasks faster (one user told me it felt like they finally had a “cheat sheet for their job”), and adoption rates soared. Seeing real-world results like a 25% decrease in task time and hearing that drivers felt more connected to their teams was the cherry on top.
Takeaway:
This project reminded me why I love UX design: it’s not about the tools or even the pretty layouts. It’s about listening to people, solving real problems, and knowing your work makes someone’s day a little smoother.
